Anglesea Arms, London
We're back! And what a swell time we had, too. Thanks to everyone who gave us helpful hints regarding favorite pubs, bookshops and walks in London. We, of course, couldn't get everywhere, but we did our best. One of our first stops was in South Kensington, at this pub, the Anglesea Arms, which is at 15, Selwood Terrace. If you happen to swing by there you might want to get there a little early. We arrived at about 8:00, when the crowd had just surged out of the doors and onto the terrace and pavement in front. There were lots of young folks, still in their work clothes, having an early summertime drink. It was warm and sunny, as the sun wouldn't set for more than another hour. We drank a beer in the crowded pub before ambling downstairs to the restaurant to have delish burgers. Our server was cheerful, friendly, and fast with the refills - all the marks of a good pub. Maura suggested the Bombardier Bitter, and, as always, Maura was right! http://www.capitalpubcompany.com/the-anglesea-arms/
